Abate-A-Weed, a leader in industrial and commercial weed control services headquartered in Kern County has an opening for a Spray Technician. The right candidate will apply pesticides for weeds, insects and vertebrate control, using a variety of methods and equipment. Will need to be able to read pesticide labels and successfully apply pesticides in a steady and practical fashion, while following related safety procedures. This action-oriented person will be required to calibrate spray equipment, execute jobs in a focused and timely manner with high-quality and efficiency.
Organizational skills will be needed to succeed in this position. Thorough documentation of jobs and attention to details is essential. This is a challenging position that works with a variety of customers. We are very excited to interview candidates that can bring efficiency, stability and reliability to this department.
Position requirements include:
3-5 years of pesticide application experience
2 years college or vocational training
Qualified Applicator License a plus
Bilingual a plus
